About Yorkshire Wreaths

A Family Story Rooted in Yorkshire

At Yorkshire Wreaths, everything we do comes from the heart. We’re a small, family-run business proud to call Yorkshire our home. You may already know us from Spilmans Farm, a place where generations of our family have worked the land, celebrated the seasons, and welcomed visitors to share in our way of life.

Yorkshire Wreaths started in the simplest of ways, around the farm kitchen table. For years, Mrs Spilman lovingly made Christmas wreaths for the family, and we thought they were so beautiful that others should be able to enjoy them too. That little spark grew into what is now The Yorkshire Wreath Company.

Today, the business is run by Dorota and Tom, with a little “help” from their three children, who are often found joining in, or getting in the way of the wreath-making fun. In the winter, the asparagus packhouse is transformed into a bustling workshop, filled with the scent of fresh foliage and the sound of laughter, as we prepare for the busy November and December season.

Handmade with Care

We don’t believe in rushing or mass production. Every wreath is made slowly, carefully, and with love. From building moss bases to layering greenery and finishing with berries, flowers, or pinecones, everything is done by hand.

That means no two wreaths are ever the same. Each one has its own depth, character, and wow factor,  designed to exude elegance and warmth. We only use fresh, in-season foliage, so your wreath not only looks fantastic, but lasts as long as possible too.

When you choose a Yorkshire Wreath, you’re not just buying a decoration, you’re welcoming something unique, crafted with care by people who love what they do.

Our Connection to Nature

We’re lucky enough to live and work surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain. The fields and woodlands of Yorkshire are our workshop, and nature is our greatest inspiration.

  • In spring, we gather fresh greenery and new shoots.
  • In summer, wildflowers and grasses bring soft colour and lightness.
  • In autumn, seed pods, dried wheat, and golden tones take centre stage.
  • In winter, berries, cones, and fragrant fir create festive magic.

Each wreath reflects the changing seasons, reminding us to pause, notice, and celebrate the world around us.

A Local, Family-Run Business

Being a family business matters to us. It means we care about the little details, because every order is personal. From the moment we create your wreath to the moment it’s carefully packed and sent, we treat it as though it were going to our own home.

Supporting Yorkshire Wreaths means supporting a small, independent business that values tradition, craftsmanship, and sustainability. It also means supporting our wider community – keeping skills alive and making the most of what our land has to offer.

More Than Just Wreaths

To us, a wreath is more than decoration. It’s a symbol of welcome, of gathering, of the turning of the seasons. When you hang one of our wreaths on your door or wall, you’re not just brightening up your home – you’re celebrating nature, family, and tradition.

We’re so proud to share that with you.
